Saw the piece on MSNBC tonight, and thought it went well.

I have written a couple of articles in my own blog that support building not just a fence, but a wall. Let me know if you need any help spreading the word, as I would be more than happy to put something up again on my my blog concerning this issue.

Robert Frost

Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
That sends the frozen-ground-swell under it,
And spills the upper boulders in the sun,
And makes gaps even two can pass abreast.
The work of hunters is another thing:
I have come after them and made repair
Where they have left not one stone on a stone,
But they would have the rabbit out of hiding,
To please the yelping dogs. The gaps I mean,
No one has seen them made or heard them made,
But at spring mending-time we find them there.
I let my neighbor know beyond the hill;
And on a day we meet to walk the line
And set the wall between us once again.
We keep the wall between us as we go.
To each the boulders that have fallen to each.
And some are loaves and some so nearly balls
We have to use a spell to make them balance:
'Stay where you are until our backs are turned!'
We wear our fingers rough with handling them.
Oh, just another kind of out-door game,
One on a side. It comes to little more:
There where it is we do not need the wall:
He is all pine and I am apple orchard.
My apple trees will never get across
And eat the cones under his pines, I tell him.
He only says, 'Good fences make good neighbors'.
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
'Why do they make good neighbors? Isn't it
Where there are cows?
But here there are no cows.
Before I built a wall I'd ask to know
What I was walling in or walling out,
And to whom I was like to give offence.
Something there is that doesn't love a wall,
That wants it down.' I could say 'Elves' to him,
But it's not elves exactly, and I'd rather
He said it for himself. I see him there
Bringing a stone grasped firmly by the top
In each hand, like an old-stone savage armed.
He moves in darkness as it seems to me~
Not of woods only and the shade of trees.
He will not go behind his father's saying,
And he likes having thought of it so well
He says again, "Good fences make good neighbors."

If it was true then, why not now?

I do agree that we need a wall. However,if the problem is going to be solved, we need to have harsher laws for the people that employ the illegal immigrants.
It is pretty clear that if an employee is an illegal immigrant, the person that hires them is breaking more than one law. How are they abiding with tax laws with no way to claim they are deducting the proper taxes for these people. Not to say that any employee should be given the same benefits as any other employee.
As a former employee of WALMART, it has come to my attention recently that they have once again been caught employing illegal immigrants. How many times do they need to be caught in order to hand down some strict penalties.
The store I worked at did this very thing. Their excuse is that they are hired by outside contractors. Hogwash! Yet they continue to do it over and over again.
Find out who those outside contractors are and find out who set them up in business. I know of no other people working for WALMART other than illegal immigrants that are paid low wages for maintenance work and are hired through contractors. Get it?
They have been caught too many times pulling this scam and it's high time that our government officials opened their eyes and put the hammer down on this company.
Until the law of our land enforces that companies can not employ illegal immigrants, they will continue to invade our country and break our laws.

Israel built a wall and reduced suicide bombings by 95%. What are we waiting for? We can't afford another 9/11 and the aftermath of several commissions to tell us in hindsight what we would know should've been done.

i really hope another 9/11 happens, that way bush might see that these people are NOT FUCKING AROUND and you need to keep OUR troops ( who are indispensable assets to him ) OUT of other people's countries.......

I don't know how many times people need to hear this before it gets into their thick skulls, but here it is again. The terrorists involved in 9/11 DID NOT come across the mexican border. Should we build a wall across the canadian border while we're at it?
